The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS enabled the acquisition of innovative rehabilitation technology for the Regional Clinical Center "Hippocrat" in Kharkiv, Ukraine. The facility specializes in medical rehabilitation and palliative care for seriously ill children and is supported by the partner organization CO CF "Global2000", which is dedicated to fighting severe childhood diseases in Ukraine.
The aid project was initiated by a committed Sixt employee who submitted her project proposal through the company-wide campaign YOUR CAUSE. OUR COMMITMENT, thereby bringing about crucial improvements for the young patients. The foundation financed an interactive sandbox for playful therapy approaches, a training standing frame for movement promotion, and a vibration therapy device for modern treatment methods.
These advanced rehabilitation devices revolutionize the children's healing process: Recovery time is reduced by 15 to 20 percent, while therapy is simultaneously made more pleasant through innovative, child-friendly methods. For children with special needs and severe illnesses, this means faster progress and improved quality of life during treatment.
