The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS has supported the acquisition of important therapeutic materials for the Fundación Lukas in Alicante to provide better care for children and young people with multiple disabilities. The foundation supports affected families through an innovative concept of care, inclusion and support with the goal of sustainably improving the quality of life of the children.
Thanks to the funding, the organization was able to purchase a specially adapted bicycle, therapeutic play and swimming materials, as well as adjustable tables. Particularly valuable is also the new Snoezelen material, which contributes to relaxation and sensory development through multisensory stimulation. This equipment significantly expands the therapy options at the center and supports the children in developing their motor and sensory abilities.
In addition to the therapy center, the Fundación Lukas offers various respite programs for families. The new therapeutic materials benefit all program areas and enable professionals to pursue more individualized and effective therapeutic approaches. This way, children with multiple disabilities receive the best possible support for their development.
