At the Wartaweil school camp, new areas for recreation and community were created through funding from the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS in cooperation with the Europe-wide construction company LEONHARD WEISS. Three modern wave-shaped wooden loungers in the park area and a three-tier grandstand at the sports ground create attractive places to stay for children and young people with and without disabilities. This cooperation continues the joint commitment to supporting local children's facilities.
Wartaweil gGmbH operates the school camp as an educational and meeting place that brings together people with and without disabilities. The new installations significantly expand the recreational opportunities in the outdoor area and actively promote encounter and community spirit. Additionally, the adjacent areas were graveled and enhanced in design.
25 colleagues from three different Sixt teams provided particularly dedicated support to the project as part of DRYING LITTLE TEARS Days, trading their laptops and desks for spades and shovels on various days. The Architecture Team, the Franchise Pricing Team, and the Sixt Brand Team rolled up their sleeves and contributed significantly to implementing the new outdoor facilities. From preparing the areas to installing the wave loungers and assembling the grandstand, the employees performed valuable practical work. Through their voluntary commitment, they complemented the financial support with personal dedication and together transformed the outdoor facilities into attractive recreation areas for visitors to the school camp.
