The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS has invited 50 children from socially disadvantaged families to a very special cultural experience: a children's concert at the Bavarian State Opera Munich. Together with KulturRaum München and its programme Kulturkinder – an initiative that provides donated tickets free of charge to people with low incomes and develops its own participatory cultural activities – the foundation gave the young guests an extraordinary afternoon at the Nationaltheater. At the children's concert "Tierische Begegnung" ("Animal Encounter"), the children immersed themselves in the fascinating world of classical music and experienced first-hand how vibrant and accessible opera can be. For many of them, it was their first visit to one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world – a moment that sparks enthusiasm and shows that culture should not be a matter of budget. With this initiative, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS sends a clear signal in favour of cultural participation and equal opportunities for children in Munich.
