As part of a DRYING LITTLE TEARS Day, SIXT Netherlands provided wholehearted support for children with disabilities. Rastko Stupar and other members of the Benelux leadership team traded their usual working day for an active volunteering day at Ipse de Bruggen – a facility that provides a safe home for children with disabilities. Since the facility's garden needed to be made more child-friendly and safer, the managers rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in themselves: together they laid artificial turf so that the children can use the outdoor area safely in the future. The children's joy was the most beautiful reward. The fact that a team that usually makes major strategic decisions picked up a wheelbarrow and spade that day shows: strong leadership also means getting involved where it is needed. The DRYING LITTLE TEARS Day makes it clear how SIXT employees at all levels actively take on responsibility and make a lasting difference to the lives of children in their immediate surroundings.
