Concert visit provides respite from clinical routine

The Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation DRYING LITTLE TEARS made an unforgettable evening with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra at Waldbühne Berlin possible for eleven young patients from Charité Berlin. Thanks to the Daniel Barenboim Foundation, the children received not only concert tickets but also exclusive backstage access.

The little guests were allowed to watch the musicians during rehearsals, explore the backstage areas, and have personal conversations with the artists. These special encounters offered the children a valuable break from the stressful clinical routine and gave them moments full of joy and hope.

The initiative highlights the healing power of music that goes far beyond pure entertainment. For the young patients, the concert visit became an experience that made them forget their everyday worries and gave them new strength. The generous support of the Daniel Barenboim Foundation made it possible for these children to experience the universal language of music up close. Such moments show how important it is to give sick children emotional highlights alongside medical care.
