The <em>Instituto do Cora\u00e7\u00e3o<\/em> is the country's only pediatric heart center and performs life-saving heart operations for children completely free of charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Through the partner organization <em>mates4health e.V.<\/em>, new furniture was procured for the common areas, including armchairs, chairs and extension tables. Additionally, the family rooms received new textiles and household items such as bed linen, towels, bath mats and curtains. The previous equipment was heavily worn or defective due to age and heavy use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The parent house offers families \u2013 mostly mothers \u2013 free accommodation during the time around the heart surgery. Medical follow-up care, which is otherwise hardly available in Mozambique, also takes place here.
