Together with the Austrian Red Cross, the Regine Sixt Children's Aid Foundation supports the renovation and equipment of Smiley Clubs, creating places where childhood becomes possible again.

What are the Smiley Clubs?

The Smiley Clubs are more than recreational facilities. They are safe havens where children experience education, care and genuine support on a daily basis. Dedicated volunteers accompany each child individually and create a warm, supportive atmosphere where laughter is part of everyday life and children happily return each day.

What was changed?

Bare rooms have been transformed into vibrant learning worlds. Through the renovation of an existing Smiley Club and the establishment of two additional locations, child-friendly environments have been created with age-appropriate furniture for comfortable learning and playing, learning materials and games that promote creativity and curiosity, and safe play areas where children can simply be children. This transformation is more than a renovation – it is a visible sign that every child deserves a place where they feel valued, safe and free.

Voices from the Project

"Thanks to the new equipment, the children now have even more opportunities – to learn, play and craft, but also to discover important life skills in a cheerful, supportive environment." – Roza S., Head of Youth and Volunteer Development Department, ARCS.
